EVENTS AND ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT (Casual – Immediate Start)
Fox Meets Bear Events is looking for an enthusiastic new member of our team!
FMB is the leading provider of pop up picnics and events in Canberra, and the surrounds, delivering a variety of beautiful styled private and corporate events including Bridal Showers, Birthdays, Weddings & Engagement parties, Christmas functions and more. We are a small, family-run business looking to expand with the right team.
Our new Events and Administration Assistant will be working across all areas of the business including event planning, preparation and styling, client communication, business administration and stock maintenance.
This role involves primarily weekend work (varying timings), however some weekday work, for both events and administration, will be required (with potential to work from home at times). Work is also seasonal, with a peak season of Sept-May. The role is a casual position as this stage, with the opportunity for growth and a move to a more permanent position for the right person.
The role involves working very closely with the owner of Fox Meets Bear and therefore we are looking for both a match in skills and personality. This role would suit someone studying, a parent with young children, or any other person looking for a unique working arrangement in a fun and personal environment.
You will have a strong passion for events, with a great work ethic and an enthusiastic, fun approach. You will have excellent personal presentation and customer service skills, as well as keen attention to detail in both the styling of events and administration work. You will be flexible, and a problem solver, with the ability to perform under pressure.
Drivers license and own car required
Ability to perform physically demanding work, in outdoor conditions, including carrying heavy loads.
Previous experience or study in events advantageous, but not essential
Previous experience or study in business administration advantageous, but not essential
